Lunch DNA

In a conversation with Seth, he was talking about how we get DNA from people, little pieces of DNA, and it grows in us.

He said he got some DNA from his brother, because of how they both like to make comic books and play video games. (Hmm... video game DNA? I like it!)

He said he got some DNA from his dad, that's where he got his big-boned body.

He said he got some DNA from his late Uncle George, that's where he got the propensity to lie (!), and his outrageous sense of humor. Then he said he also got some of his sense of humor DNA from his brother, because the first time he laughed, he was laughing at Evan.

He stopped there.

I asked, "What did you get from me?" Looking forward to him saying... his sensitivity, maybe, or his big blue eyes.

"Well, Seth, what do you think you got from me?"

"Umm... a really great lunch!"

He called me today to tell me he was having a smoothie. It was strawberry banana, but he wanted orange sunrise next time. Because he said, 'when I eat this one... um... drink this one... umm... straw this one, it's goopy. When I'm strawing my next smoothie, I want it to be icy, like the orange one.'

How I love that boy.

Your offspring is so damn cool, I just don't even know what to say - except that they're probably going to change the world, in a big way someday!

Hi there! Thanks for commenting on my comment on Mrs. G's blog. :) That was encouraging, and meant a lot, actually.

I love the name of your blog. Living an open-hearted life is a great virtue, in my book!
